Andrew's First Piano Recital

Andrew has only had lessons for a couple of months. He was incredibly brave to do a holiday recital. His parents were very proud!

Hannah get a phone

Big day for Hannah - she is now a texting fool!!!!

Hannah rides the Giant Dipper for the first time!

The Giant Diaper is the amazing old wooden roller coaster at the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. You can read all about it here.

As you can see from her photo she loved it so much that she ended up riding it 10 times in one day!

Many thanks to Anna Whiting for helping to give Hannah the encouragement to give it a try.

Hannah is a patriot!

Yesterday, Hannah participated in a reenactment of the revolutionary war. Se was fortunate enough to play the role of Deborah Sampson -- one of the first women to impersonate a man just so they could join the rebellion. Check out her presentation and outfit. She did an amazing job.

Kentucky versus Tennessee

Last week Bob and I travelled to Lexington Kentucky to see my beloved
wildcats win over the Tennessee volunteers. I had not been there
since 87. It was an amazing experience. We even took time to tour the
wild turkey distillery which turned out to be fascinating. Alas there
was no tasting offered but it was well worth the 30 minute drive.
